Diwali Cleaning

It all started when it was time to super clean for the festival of lights, Diwali. It is said that Devi Lakshmi, the goddess of abundant prosperity, only enters homes that are tidy and ornate. So in addition to scrubbing every surface, this is a time when Hindus also decorate with special adornments such as toran, rangoli, flowers, tealights, paper lanterns, and the list goes on.

Before I got my Diwali decadence on, I had some pending work to do on kitchen organization. Before I conquer the world with wallpaper, I decided to start on the small scale with drawer liners in my kitchen. Here is some inspiration on using wallpaper in untraditional ways.

One Kings Lane

My project was extremely modest. I just wanted to put in drawer liners in my kitchen drawers, shelves and maybe extend this project to the coat closet.

I leave you with this. How you do anything is how you do everything. Heavy and deep.
