This past weekend’s blizzard Jonas has serendipitously set the tone for what I’m about to present today. We recently visited Colorado for a winter trip – which entailed exploring Denver, skiing in Breckenridge, basking in the warm mineral waters of Glenwood Springs, and a quick stop at the historic town of Vail.
Set amongst the picturesque Rocky Mountains is the town of Breckinridge – rich in Victorian architecture. It is quaint and homely and everything you think of when imagining the perfect winter village. What is homelier than a friendly bear greeting you?
The colorscape of the turn of the 19th century American architecture, which is quite Victorian in nature.
I stumbled upon my new favorite home decor store in Colorado – Ruby Jane. They have a great collection of Bohemian, shabby chic and ethnic global home decor.
Some more great color combinations that a make this town such a charming and dreamy place to be.
And lastly, our friendly mountain friends that lovingly hang out throughout the town.
