Spring Cleaning the Toxin-free way

Over the past 6 months, I have been on a very serious mission to have a fully toxic-free existence (at home at least). As a result, most of my skincare and homecare products have been swapped out for eco-friendly, chemical-free and natural products. Please find below a roster of what you will find in my home on any given day.

Skincare products:

Herbal Choice Mari Organic Eye Cream

Teddie Organics Organic Alcohol Free Rose Water

InstaNatural Night Cream

Moisturizer-Daily Essential Jojoba Aloe by Desert Essence – This isn’t as moisturizing as I would like. So I use it as a base and then use my $3.99 Trader Joe’s Enrich Moisturizer SPF15, which I have used for years and it is amazing to my skin. Here is extra marketing for Trader Joe’s products.

Dr. Bronner’s & All-One Organic Lotion – I keep this at my desk at work for my hands.

Andalou Naturals Soothing Body Lotion – 1000 RosesNourish Organic Hydrating & Smoothing Body Lotion, Pure Unscented, and Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil – I use these in rotation for post-shower body moisturizing

Epsoak Epsom SaltBaking Soda & Lavender essential oil – my weekly detoxifying bath

Homecare products:

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Liquid Hand Soap Refill, Geranium – This smells marvelous, trust me.

Bamboo Fiber Cleaning Cloths – For cleaning all surfaces in the kitchen and bathrooms

Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap – I have this in Citrus, Rose and Lavendar. Rose and Lavendar are  used for body washes. The Citrus is my multi-purpose cleaner. Dilution is of course necessary when using Dr. Bronner’s.

Seventh Generation Glass & Surface Natural Cleaner

Mrs. Meyer’s Liquid Dish Soap – Honeysuckle. So Fragrant.

Mrs. Meyer’s Automatic Dish Packs – Lemon Verbena

Eco Nuts – Himalayan soap berries that I use for laundry in conjunction with Molly’s Suds Laundry Powder which provides the peppermint scent.
